    Vintage original 7 x 9 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1980s immigrant-themed made-for-television drama,
    ELLIS ISLAND
    , originally broadcast in November 1984, which reveals the lives and struggles of some of the countless immigrants who arrived on Ellis Island during the 19th century in search of the American Dream.
    The image depicts two residents of Hamburg, German, as ragtime pianist Roscoe Haines (Ben Vereen) helps penniless Russian (Peter Riegert) to raise money for his ship passage to New York City. Affixed to the bottom of the verso (which has subsequently come loose) is the original paper snipe that folds over to the recto. It is in very fine condition as shown.
