Vintage 1st Generation USFS Fire Shelter with Pack and Belt

Rare find, a vintage 1st Generation USFS Fire Shelter with orange canvas pack and web belt. Although available since the mid-1960s, the USFS mandated fire shelters be worn by all USFS personnel in 1977, after 3 Firefighters were killed on a wildland fire in Colorado in 1976. This pack was manufactured in Nov, 1978. New old stock, its never been opened out of its plastic sealed pouch. Complete with instructions in English and Spanish. Measures 14.0" x 6.0" x 2.75".
